We had the pleasure of spending more family time this weekend, as my some of my family visited from California (Mom, Kathleen, Alex, Grandma and the Banks). As always, it was a treat. Unfortunately, hardly any pictures were taken on my camera and the ones that were, were generally blurry. Luckily, I got a couple cute ones with Mason and his beloved Auntie Kathleen.
One of the best parts of family being in town is the break give me of entertaining my little man. All weekend Mason was pleased as punch to be doted on my his grandma, aunts and uncles! One day, while visiting at Ari's, it started to snow. Kathleen made Mason's day by taking him outside to catch a few flakes on his tongue. It was one of the cutest things I have ever seen.
Mason cried when the family left this morning. At first I thought it was because he wanted the little chocolate donuts on Alex's lap, but even when he was given one by his doting uncle, he still reached for the van as if he wanted to climb aboard for the long trip home. It wasn't until they were out of sight that he jammed the whole donut in his mouth and chomped away. Apparently he knows how to soldier on despite sad times.
Happy 17th Birthday, Alex! You will always be my little brochten, Al. I love you.

How fun! And Kathleen is so grown up! What a gorgeous gal she is, and a fun Auntie, too! :)
I think I could probably soldier on through sad times, too, insofar as I have a donut(s).
