Payson Lakes

Mason and I have LOVED having Poppy home more this past week. James has a knack for ridding the hum-drums by planning and carrying out all kinds of fun adventures (except for yesterday when he thought it would be a good idea to organize the garage. BORING). They nearly always have to do with the outdoors and he always ends up doing all of the work (another reason why I am a big fan. But that is what you get when you marry a legal midget).

Thursday was a mighty hot day in these parts and I was feeling every mounting degree. After we couldn't take it anymore (and James had his fill of tinkering around on the rototiller) we packed up our kayaks and headed for the mountains. By the time we got to our destination, it had dropped 20 blessed degrees and my mood was starting to return. It was BEAUTIFUL and green up in the Payson mountains where we found a quite little lake to fish and paddle in.

My only regret was bringing the camera without the storage card inside so I was only able to take a couple pictures before the internal memory was full. BLAST! Oh well, what do you do? I guess this means that we'll have to go again!

Is the pope a catholic? Does a bear poop in the woods? Does your husband?

I remember when we were in Spokane and it was 110 and we were racing for the mountains ahead. AHHHH how wonderful it was when we made it. It truly is God's country.

Amazing how you could put my pictures of lil Mason next to yours and they would look like brothers!

And just like your Mason, My Mason was joined at his Papa's hip until High School! They did everything together and Papa NEVER missed a ballgame, race, etc. I am glad he always took videos so I could watch and we have something to look at now that he is gone. Same with pictures, you can NEVER have enough!
