Sydney partying hard on her birthday with her parents
Our little niece, Sydney Lane, is now one years old and I am so surprised! I feel like the luckiest of all because we have had the chance to live so close to her and as a result, I am her favorite Auntie (at least I like to think so). We sure love Sydney. Everyone does. I have a special soft spot in my heart for her because she let Mason practice being gentle on her so by the time our next little one comes, he will be a pro. It truly is a miracle that her bright blue eyes made it this far despite all of his curious pokes.
A picture I took this afternoon while Mason and I drove around town with Aria and Syndey. They were making the happiest sounds and I couldn't help documenting their friendship.
To celebrate her big day, we (my family is in town) went to the Lehi community center and swam our hearts out in the pool/children's play area (thanks Carlee, for showing me this gem). Hot dog!
Mason celebrated by pooping in his pants, forcing us to vacate faster than we might have otherwise hoped (and that is why, my friends, we are happy for the strict rule of babies needing to wear swimming diapers PLUS plastic daiper covers under their bite-sized bathing suits. It was a close one). Good times....

I love having family so close- what a blessing!!! Mason looks very sweet sleeping all wrapped up in his blanket- love it :)
aww... thanks for the great post! we had a lot of fun yesterday -thanks for following me around all day on all my requests (I'm sure Sydney really loved all the things I insisted on doing on her birthday). We need to start going to that cool pool all the time now!
