Fall is in the air!!!

Mason with his first harvest of pumpkins! Fall is hear!!!!!!

Again, I am sorry that I have not been a blog-a-holic of late. I have been in preparation mode for the past while and I don't really see that coming to an end any time soon. Well, sooner than the baby comes. The amazing thing is, I'm 35 weeks tomorrow! That means that if this baby comes early like Mason did, than I only have 2 more weeks of pregnancy to go! If not, I have a whopping 4 weeks to get everything done. Yikes! The other day I was having labor pains and thought that I was going to have a super early baby. I was worried for our little one, but SO excited to meet them!!!! Fear not though, they are doing just fine. In fact, his/her little rump is trying to drill a hole through my belly button as I type. I think I'm uncomfortable, but I can't imagine how uncomfortable they (he/she) is all folded up in there right now!

I usually hate Saturdays, since my honeybun works all day long. However, today has been such a great one (minus when Gunner peed in his kennel and then peed on our rug right after I cleaned that mess up). After we dropped Jamesy off at work, Mason and I had a dance party to bring in the day! Well, mostly he just stared at me with a look like, "What is my bulbous/pregnant mommy think she is doing?!!!! I am so glad my friends can't see this." Oh well, with the nippy feeling of Fall in the air, how could I not?!!!!!

After we had breakfast (mostly Mason. He ate all of his and my oatmeal and then some! That boy can eat), I made bread while Mason goofed off around the house. Before I knew it, it was almost noon and my neighbor was knocking on my door with the most excellent news. Some service group was donating loads and loads of baby clothes to us poor college students. Anyone was invited to rummage through and find much needed treasures. Hot dog!!! I zipped on over there and grabbed a bag full of little girl things to hold us over, in case baby #2 is female. Now I feel almost all the way ready. Apparently I was not the only one excited for our good fortune. Mason kept making mad dashes towards all the crappy toys down the hall. If I wasn't feeling so jolly, I probably would have killed that kid!

One might think that life could not get any better than a dance party and free clothes but it DID!!! We came home to a letter in our mailbox from my missionary sister (Kathleen. Or I should say, Sister Vance)! What a treat! Later today I get to see one of my favorite cousins who is visiting for the week along with a bunch of other extended family members.

So, I guess this has just been a lot of blithering about my good day. Maybe I'll actually fill you all in on life on our end one of these days. I hope you are all enjoying your weekend as much as I am!

I love that photo with all the pumpkins! Mason will be a gardening pro, growing his own crops one day. It was so cute how he was trying to pick the veggies off of Aunt Jane's garden the other day. You've trained him well.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! What a fun day with crazy (great) weather. You guys always brighten up our day.

That was the Gifts of the Heart Exchange that the MBA Spouses put on and have invited the Law School Spouses to help with! Next one is Nov 7, I know you will have a new little one, but mark your calendar!
