Hiking in October

Charlie has accompanied us on many hikes while in utero, but yesterday was the first day that he actually got to take in the sights and smells of the experience....well, sort of. As much as you can from your car seat-stroller. Boy was it a beautiful day for a family hike!!!! I have been feeling very deprived of my favorite season this year, as I have mainly had to stay indoors and heal with my little bambino. However, James took a study break yesterday and carted our little family to one of the most lovely areas around. Provo's South Fork. We have hiked in this area a time or two (once with snowshoes and my sister, Slingle) but never in this season. It was completely rejuvinating and we all had a ball.

Charlie caught a little shut eye from his cozy perch in the stroller. Both boys were troopers. Since we don't have a double jogging stroller yet to accompany us on our off roading adventures, Mason hiked the whole way on foot without a wimper.

We Siegs believe in supporting our kids interests. Mason's current #1 interest is poop. Here Poppy is bonding with Mason by teaching him how to fling poop off of the trail. SUPER exciting....until Mason carried the stick by the wrong end...

Boy does Mommy look happy to get out of the house!

Happy Hiking!!!

I promise that James isn't balding like this picture suggests.

I love those pic's. I wish I could move enough to go hiking too. I don't think me and this huge belly would be able to make it.
