I am a sucker for St. Nicholas Day. I look forward to it just like the other big holidays. Maybe even more, since it is a little family tradition that is fairly uncommon here in the States. This year I was a little worried that it wouldn't be all that wowy since my boys were sick so we couldn't involve extended family and the holiday fell on a Sunday so James had to be in meetings all morning and afternoon long. However, we had a ball all the same. It turned out to be a nice cozy day in and even Mother Nature celebrated with us! Mason was more than thrilled with the blanket of snow that he high tailed it outside before I was even able to get him dressed.
This year, Mason was the lucky little fella!
All hail King Mason!
Poor Char was so upset that he picked the wrong roll that he refused to eat his.
The evening ended with a special Christmas devotional where Mason ran around in the dark like a homeless looking mad man (his hair was in nap-mode, he was toting his smelly blanket and he refused to wear his shoes and socks). He made us proud to be his parents when he snuck to the pew behind us and flipped on the lights in the middle of "O Holy Night". James was kind enough to claim him while I tried to hide in my seat. Who brought the crazy kid?!!! That boy sure makes us laugh.

Hahaha..Mason is so funny in all these photos and little descriptions. Too bad we couldn't spend the holiday together, but it was still such a fun day. And the weather really did make it extra special. Little Charlie looks so cute and funny next to that huge roll. :)
How cute! Love that picture of Mason out in the snow in his PJ's- too funny!!!
