Hiking

The menfolk on Charlie's first outing on Pops' back
Monday night we hiked the nearby hills with our little brood. We haven't hiked that trail since my pregnant belly was large and in charge. Last year it was our stout Mason who bobbed on his Poppy's back during out hike adventures, but now is Char's reign. Ideally I would be burly enough to be able to heft one of them around, but seeing as that won't ever happen, Mason was on his own. Boy was he thrilled with his freedom!

Char, enjoying the view from his Poppy's back.

Gunner, looking pleased with Mason

The hike was a success right up until the last fifteen minutes. Charlie exercised his lungs with hefty wails and Mason decided that doing the work himself was overrated. Thank goodness Poppy is strong. Strong and patient. This picture was taken moments after he realized that Mason's wet diaper was leaking. Parenting can be such bliss....

Oh man, I needed a laugh today, and that last picture of a happy, wet Mason and a not-so-happy, wet James totally did the trick :) You guys are the best!

Who is that little big boy papoose? I can't believe how big he is now! Your boys are such cuties. And I was kind of wondering why Haley was with you... Wow, your dog got big fast.
Miss you!

hahaha...James really is such a trooper. I love Mason's grin, like he knows he's soaking wet and on his Poppy's shoulders. Those boys are sure lucky to have such fun and adventurous parents!
