Last of the Winter Hikes

Charlie and his Pops, ready for any weather!
Yesterday evening, despite freezing temperatures, we took our little brood out into the hills. So what if it was snowing here and there? We figure it will give our sons (and ourselves) grit!

We hiked big-boy hills...
...found mysterious artwork...
Mason was very intrigued by this spray-painted arrow and insisted we take a picture.

...and learned the wonders of clicker bugs!
Proof that Charlie really is up for anything
For the most part, we hiked at a grumpy snail pace...

Here Mason is refusing to hold Poppy's hand. He was mad because w e wouldn't let him pee in the nearby stream. Potty training is so exciting.
....with bursts of gazelle-like speed!

Mason is trying to catch his speedy mother and give her a playful pinch. Can you tell he is trying to look fierce?
We explored for a good 45 minutes....
...before we called it quits.

Thank heavens for our strong and loving Poppy!
