Poppy had a birthday

Poppy and his little men, blowing out his birthday cake. Strawberry shortcake is his cake of choice.

 This last Monday (May 2nd) was my honeybun's 29th birthday. Sadly, he had to spend the majority of it studying his tail-end off for his finals. The night before his big day, Mason earnestly asked his pops, "Do you want a Muck, a truck, or a turtle for your birthday?" After all, why would anything else be on a 29-year-old man's wish list?

While James was studying hard at his office, I took the boys to D.I. so they could pick out presents for Poppy (it was either that or the dollar store. Until they realize that James isn't so into Muck, trucks and turtles, they aren't shopping anywhere else). Apparently Mason heard the old rule of thumb about giving a gift that you would like to receive because soon after we got there, Mason spotted Poppy's dream present; some wierdo remote controlled ATV with some bobble-headed driver. Bingo!

I would say it was a good choice....because someone really like it.

Char thinks it is pretty fancy, too. However, he still thinks that the Cootie key chain that he tried to shoplift was the best present of all.
