Our bug board. Look at those beauties!
Much to our little men's pleasure, the bug board was back with a vengeance this year! Bugs must agree that Cache Valley is the place to be since there are oodles of them in this neck of the woods. Mason couldn't be more thrilled. And since Char is so fond of his big brother, he thinks they are pretty nifty, too.

By far the favorite bug caught this season was this garden spider that the boys found outside of Poppy's lab:
It was huge! We learned that it was pregnant from an entomologist on campus. Yuck.
The days are getting shorter and the weather is cooling. This means that our bug-catching season is coming to a close. Maybe for this reason, Mason and Char are filling every ounce of freetime in bug mode. It takes priority over everything else....
...Including diapers.

oh my goodness. i am morbidly afraid of bugs and i sooooooo could never let tama have one of these in my home. you are so much cooler than i am! that last picture is hilarious!!!
