Ever since we moved up here to Logan, we heard that there was an incredible sleigh ride up at Hardware Ranch where you get to ride around merrily while seeing hundreds of elk graze. We meant to go last year when snow was abounding, but with little Baby Cabe so small, we waited until this year. Unfortunately for Hardware Ranch, this year has been so warm that there was no snow to use the sleigh on so we had to do the next best thing of riding in a wagon instead. Also, since this year has been so warm, the elk haven't had to come down to get food as much and so the numbers were way down. But it was a treat all the same! Especially since we got to see several bald eagles during out adventure! Hot dog!

Me and Char. I was FREEZING!!!!! As cool as it was, once the wind picked up I was ready to high-tail it. That was about five minutes into the ride.
Almost as cool as the elk were these incredible horses. Oh, and getting to see James wear my old red snow coat. He forgot his and it was beyond too cold to wear his t-shirt. :)

Before I read your photo caption I thought "is James wearing Malinda's jacket??" and lo and behold he was! I'm glad he's not above wearing women's clothing. Now THERE'S a man.
how do you find the coolest places to go in logan??
This looks like so much fun! My mom was actually talking about wanting to do this a month or so ago-I have no idea how she heard about it, but we'll definitely have to check it out now. Oh, and you look so good in that photo!
