My men. This particular area of Tuttle Creek reminds me of Snowflake, Arizona because of the cool flat rock shelves that line the river.
Like most people, I have a certain day that I look forward to the most throughout the week and it changes depending on what we have going on in our lives at the time. Right now my favorite day is Sunday. James doesn't study on Sundays so it is the one day of the week that we don't have to share him with school. And since neither of our church callings require very much time on Sundays, after church we get the whole day together as a family! Since I know that our Sundays won't stay this care-free forever, I might as well enjoy them as much as I can for now!
Our favorite thing to do as a family on these days is head off for a nice stroll somewhere pretty. Most of the time we end up at our favorite Tuttle Creek were we walk, explore, throw rocks and laugh. Add Fall time and the glow of the evening hours to the mix and the day just can't get any better!
Charlie is of the oppionion that if a little bit of plaid is good, a whole lot is even better!
L: Charlie, giving his little frog a parting smooch. R: Walking among the puddles
The frog
I promise Coobie started the outing fully dressed! He fell in the water and refused to move an inch without being freed from his wet and chilly clothes.
Charlie, laughing after getting splashed after throwing a big rock in the water
James and Huckle enjoying a game of retrieval. That dog loves to swim and will chase any size stick into the water!
He's a brute!

Mason
At one Mason talked me into letting him take the camera for a spin. I am so glad that I did because he got some pretty good pictures of me and Jamesy-cakes.
I do like this picture but at the same time, I can't help thinking that my face looks an awfully like one of my brothers wearing a wig. Strange.
Our budding photographer!
More shots from our man. L: James and his energetic dog. R: Me. Mason asked me to pose with Medusa hair and I did my best to deliver
Let it always be known that at 33, I was a happy woman. How thankful I am for this season of our lives.

can i just say that tama wanted to take pictures of us too a couple weekends ago and he took a couple pictures of me just like the ones you posted towards the bottom of the page. it was an expression i would have never given a photographer, only to my son who makes me laugh out loud with such joy. I love that picture of myself because for a split second, i saw what my son sees when i look at him, and it made me feel like, at least in this one moment, he knows how much i love him.
Mason is talented! And you are beautiful!
Oh I love this post. And love how cute your little boys are. It gives me hope that I'll survive this early stage that I'm finding so hard! People weren't kidding when they said going from 2 to 3 was hard! Our newest guy, cannon, is about 2 weeks old now and I feel like its a marathon to get thru each day. I know it will take time to get adjusted to our new family of 5. Are you on Instagram?. I have no time to blog anymore so I just put pictures up on there...
