While I type, a custom-made figurine is drying on my windowsill. It has been a while since I have worked on a figurine and boy does it feel good to be back in the saddle again! As you may know, I love to make little paper mache figurines for all sorts of occasions. Best of all in my book is making something for a certain special person in mind.
Just last week I entered two giveaways on other blogs. Even though I didn't win, I got a kick out of waiting for the results and hoping for my good fortune. Because of these two things, I thought it would be fun to try a giveaway on my blog. I've been thinking of doing it for a while but have been too worried that only my mom would enter the drawing. However, I am ready to take the risk. Besides, I like making things for my mom. :)
So, here is the plan: For the next week anyone and everyone who happens to read this blog (whether you are family, friends, or an unknown visitor) and wants to win something, just post a comment on this entry and you'll be added to the drawing. If you want to be added three times, put a link on your own blog or facebook (I hear that is the thing to do with giveaways). Next Tuesday, Mason and I will do a random drawing and pick the winner!
The winner will receive a custom-made single 7-9 inch figurine of whatever or whoever they please. It could be for a favorite holiday, special memory, a loved one or even a pet. You name it! Your wish is my command! For ideas of what you might like, check out my Dahlhart Lane blog or Etsy account on the sidebar. Thanks for playing along and good luck!

Yay! I'm so excited for this giveaway! I might feel a little guilty if Mason draws my name, since I'm so lucky to have a custom figurine already, but I'm still entering because I just love your work!
When are you going to start teaching Mason the fine art of paper mache?

I spent the morning perusing your Etsy blog, deciding which figurine I want as a final decorating touch to my new shared bedroom!
um...yes, please! you are so talented. i would love to have one. hay---i am setting up a booth at the farmers market on the 30th. you should come and say hi.
I fully expect you to rig this contest so that I win. And just so you can get started on my figurine, I'd like it to be a beautiful, beautiful flamingo, flying across in front of a beautiful sunset. And he's carrying a beautiful rose in his beak. And also he's carrying a very beautiful painting with his feet.
Okay I'm excited to see the result!
Three entries for a link to my blog? Here in the comments? (I'm a giveaway novice). Absolutely I will. www.mehgant.blogspot.com. I now expect four total entries in the drawing. I'm totally going to win. (Not that I needed the extra entries, as discussed you were going to rig it for me anyway).
You are always so crafty! I would love one! P.S. Whenever I see a goose figurine, I think of you.
Doesn't look like you had to worry about nobody entering ;) Your figurines are so cute! I would love one. Maybe when Gary gets a good job I can actually buy some from you.
Hey Lindta, can I enter everyone in my family? Here's our wish lists:
I want one of Frank Thomas, Jennie wants one of Lando, Isaac wants Darth Vader, and Meili wants one of Godzilla.
On a side note, I'm so intrigued by deleted comments. What could be so scandelous that it would be deleted?
I would adore one of your figurines! What a fun idea!

Ha, I'm game. But I never win things like this. Rebecca does, though, so maybe I'll hope she wins.
Or I could just make more money. Then she could buy one from you. ;-)
Yep, free stuff is worth admitting that I do stalk your blog occasionally and I ALWAYS get busted at work when I do because I laugh so hard that everyone knows I couldn't possibly be working. (Flashback Fridays are my FAVORITE)! I'm just glad that I'm not "that Emily." P.S. This is Ben's wife Emilee.
Yippee! Your figurines are adorable: I'm keeping my fingers crossed! :)
Malinda, I know most of the family has added their wish but i thought i'd do it too, sling and i are sharing a room now and it would be lovely to have one of your cute figurines in our room! Love you Mal!
If I win, I want a figurine of you waddling in your pregnant glory or one of Grandma O. Since these would be the most fun for you to do, get to work!
I totally want in, and I'm making a post about your drawing on my blog...because SOOOO many people read my blog. At least your mom reads yours. =o( Just kidding, my mom has read my blog, once in a while.
I'm already trying to think of what you can make for me...whah hah hah! I'm sure Mason will draw my name, we do share the best birthday of all you know! Yeah!
