I feel like the luckiest of all because we got to hang out with my sisters, Tommy and Sydney AND on top of that, got to have the night documented by Aria! Let's be honest, she does a MUCH better job bringing the festivities to life then I can. Here are some shots that she took while we were out and about. I can't wait to see the rest of them. I really feel that Halloween is one of the wonderful perks of having kids. You get to dress them up as something adorable and then parade them around shamelessly! this year was no exception.
Unfortunately, James was at work and couldn't take part in the festivities until after all of the trick or treating. Luckily we got to spend it with my sisters and co. so we were not too lonely.
Mason made my Halloween dreams come true by dressing up in the costume I made him! I was crossing my fingers all the way up to the day (since he hasn't been too fond of the get up) but when it came, I just had to tell him once about how he could get candy if he wore it and he was agreeable for the rest of the night! Hot dog!!! That little sucker had no clue that if he had just put up a fight, I would have been willing to bribe him with so much more!
Little Charlie was cute as can be in his candy corn costume. However, it did still look a little more KKKish than I had hoped. So much so that James fondly referred to Charlie as his little Klu Klux Klandy Corn. Blast! Oh well.
Sydney Lane wore Mason's costume from last year and was SO cute! Boy does that girl have drive! She trotted along side Mason with a giddy grin all night long! They walked for about a mile getting all of their candy. Even I was tired!
The whole night was a hoot and I LOVED seeing our little ones in hog heaven (literally, they feasted on their winnings all night long)! The only mishap was when some (obviously punch drunk) woman mistook Mason for a little girl. "I don't want the dog to scare these two cute little girls...." Poor little chap! I was warned that this would happen by my brother, Marshall, who suffered in similar ways when he dressed up as a clown years ago.
