Mason is nearly 2 1/2 and is showing this sophisticated age by wanting to prove his independence in pretty much everything he does. Because of this (and his keen fashion sense) he insists on wearing some form of boot wherever he goes. Even if he doesn't get them on the right feet, he is proud of himself for being able to pull them on by himself. His favorite of all are his cowboy boots. He thinks they look right nice! I would have to agree.
The other night he was in the worst mood for one reason or another that he wouldn't do anything but walk around in his cowboy boots and scowl at us. Since this is so rare, James and I found it rather amusing. At one point I was so inspired by his little booted feet that I started singing the Boot Scootin' Boogy (or a form of it) and sashayed around the floor. I guess my special number was so appealing that even mister grump himself couldn't resist. As if against his will, next thing we knew, his little boots were keeping time with mine. All the while Mr. Boot Scootin' Boogy tried his best to maintain his frown. A boy after my own heart!

How cute!!! It always makes me laugh when Aiden is intent on being "mad" and tries not to crack a smile or seem interested in whatever we are doing :) Silly little independant & stubborn boys!
