For the first time in my life, I can finally see why some people think that the 4th of July is the best holiday of the year. We Siegs had SUCH a ball! One of my favorite things about Provo is how they celebrate this patriotic day. Because this year the 4th landed on Sunday, all the events were celebrated either the day before or after, leaving the actual holiday low key and family oriented. As a result, we got to party-hard all the way from Friday, with the Bethards at the Freedom Festival, to Monday with our beloved singles ward as we floated the Provo river. Hot dog!
On Saturday night, we Siegs snagged Uncle Bryce and drove a couple blocks up into the neighborhoods near our home to watch the fireworks (and trees). Apparently it was a rather coveted spot as another family pulled up mid-show and parked RIGHT in front of us. Fancy.
