Max, Char, and Mason, enjoying cousin time. Yes, Max at almost 3 months is nearly Charlie's size at 14 months. A little while longer and maybe he will rival Mason.
I am now 35 weeks in my pregnancy and am so grateful for it! Every week is an accomplishment. For the past little while I have been on bed-rest so I just park my patootie on our couch and do jack-squat all day while other kind people take care of our boys. It hasn't been dreamy but on the upside, youtube taught me how to knit. Now our little newborn will be stylin' all sorts of hats (the obviously homemade and clumsy look is in right now, right?)!
It has been so humbling to have kind people help us make it through this tricky period. James has been a dream come true taking on every responsibility. He promised me last night that if I can keep this baby in till my scheduled c-section date, he will do the dishes for the rest of our lives. As much as I hate being down, his promise is reason enough to stay on my rump and keep this baby in....oh, that and our baby's health.
As kind as everyone is, part of me seriously worries what odd things these new friends are learning about our little Sieg family. The other day I overheard Mason informing a nice young teenager that girls don't have penises. As Mason is our never-ending talker, I can only imagine that what I heard was only the tip of the iceberg.
My concerns were validated on Friday when Aria came to help out for the day. At one point she was upstairs with the kids cleaning the boy's room when she asked Mason if he liked having the house clean or dirty. After briefly thinking it through, Mason replied, "Dirty. My mom, she likes it dirty." Wow. Aren't I a regular Stepford Wife!

Sorry to hear you are on bed-rest! How wonderful that you have such supportive family and friends to help you make it through though. Mason's little insights were hilarious :)
oh where oh where has mason gone??? you weren't kidding about the hair. i looked at that top picture of the three boys and thought to myself, who is that one boy on the right?? then i realized it was mason without his hair! no wonder you were so sad.
and thanks for the hand-print idea! i am definitely starting that this year with swede. if i can get him to hold still enough to trace his hand :) i can't believe how fast time has gone by. 7 months old already. i want to cry.
and i hope you are taking it easy with your bedrest. i read your comment out loud to brian about your husband doing the dishes if you keep the baby in, cuz i hate doing the dishes! we have a deal where i always put them away, he washes them. so i can see the incentive :)
Oh, Mason is so funny!! I wonder the same thing about what my kids must be saying every sunday. Mmm.
I'm so sorry you have to be on bedrest. Have you read the Percy Jackson books? They're fairly good and helpful for these kind of times. You can do it! Another well done boy is what you want!!
Mason is hilarious! What a little personality.
This has got to be so hard for you. For all of you. I wish I could be there to help out too. I know it's hard to stifle your busy-body tendencies, but sit tight. You're almost there!
Someone ought to report the parents of that boy on the left for child abuse. What kind of parent makes their boy wear a dress?
So sorry you have to be on bed-rest, but glad you have help! Mason is too funny- I love it!!!
Oh man that is hilarious! I love hearing about your family. Sorry about bedrest but I can't wait to see your little miracle! Love you guys!
