Sydney Lane. Future rodeo queen
In the middle of August, my sister, Aria, and her kids came up to pay us a little visit. We always have a ball when they come to play, but this time was extra special because we got to introduce them to the Cache County Fair and Rodeo! Hot dog! This fair was going on the weekend we Siegs moved here last year and was one of the first things we experienced in this pretty little valley. It was fun to revisit it with the Bethards. Even though we weren't able to stretch the kids for the entire rodeo event, it was still fun to poke around for a bit.
We recently visited California and the trip made me realize how different our Cache Valley world is from the one in Southern California that we grew up in. Both are great, but I was tickled pink to return to the slow-moving comfort of Logan. It took me nearly a year (and the sun to come out) but I finally can say that I am smitten by Cache Valley. Next thing I know, I'll be buying some cowgirl boots and a hat to match. I guess I'm just one step behind my husband.

Char's feet. I love flip flops on little toes.
My boys, lost in the wonder of the show. Actually, Char was probably scanning the crowd for his rodeo queen girlfriend, Miss Maybell. He's real sweet on her. :)

I love these pictures!! That first one of Sydney is adorable! She will definitely make one fine rodeo queen in another decade. And those little toes of Charlie in the flip flops are so cute! Let's make this an annual event!
