Mesquite, Nevada

McCabe in all of his glory. Yes, we put him to bed without a sheet in his pack n' play. And yes, we didn't bother changing him out of his gross travel clothes (...shirt).

Towards the end of August we Siegs packed up and made a very last minute trip to California to be with James' family. It was a nice way to say good-bye to Summer-time and we had a ball. On the way down, we had a late start so we checked in to the fanciest hotel our $24.95 could buy. The Virgin River in Mesquite, Nevada (that is their week night price per room. Just up our alley). Since we had only one pack n' play (and Char doesn't really ever stay in one anyway) we were worried that we wouldn't get any sleep. Thankfully, the boys were angels. Very happy and excited but angels just the same. James and I got such a kick seeing them snuggle up on their bed and ooh and ahh over the fancy decor and amenities. It's all about lowered expectations. :)
 Mason and Char snuggle-buggling.

Charzo. Proof that every now and then he smiles for the camera.

 More snuggle time

Mason and Char were especially fond of this kitschy piece of art. James and I spotted Mason and Char standing reverently at it's base while Mason fervently whispered, "Char. This is the most bluetiful picture I ever saw". Charlie nodded in agreement While my ego took a major hit. :) I better study up on some Bob Ross.
