Our go-to protectors, Warrior Mason and Warrior Bucket -head.
Last night, Mason accompanied me to the local dollar store where we picked up some Halloween goodies and a fancy warrior get-up. This morning while I cleaned our bathroom, I was joined by a brave warrior and his side-kick, Warrior Bucket-head (sometimes just referred to as Bucket -head for short). What a valiant pair they made! Why, who wouldn't be afraid of a warrior who can barely see out of his helmet and another with a witches cauldron on his head? I have no doubt that our castle will remain safe under their able watch. After a spell of protecting, these warriors decided they needed a quick pick-me-up snuggle in mommy and poppy's bed (warrioring is hard work). While I cleaned, I heard Mason say, "Bucket-head Char, we are stronger of the bad-guys!" Bucket Head remained silent but it was clear he agreed by his contented snuggles. Then I heard Warrior Mason say, "I love you Warrior Bucket-head." This time Bucket-head answered with his soft and sweet, "I wha ooo." It's nice to know that even the bravest of men have a softer side.
On a side note, somehow in the course of the morning Warrior Mason started referring to me as Bucket-head Girl. Since I was not wearing any form of bucket I could't help but wonder just what he think of his mommy's short haircut? :)
