Fishing in March 2011

 March, 2011

This evening we headed to our favorite little fishing spot to see what luck would reel in. Besides the fun that we had, we came up dry. The fish weren't biting. However, it reminded me of two back-to-back days when they biting a little over a year ago. Looking at these pictures just amaze me. How have my men changed so much in just a years time? Before I know it, McCabe will be a teenager! Since I didn't take any pictures tonight, I figured I would share some from last March.
This is a real golden eagle that died just minutes before James and Mason found him. Some guy saw him land in the tree above and then fall to the ground. Sad but sorta cool that we got to see one of these beauties so close up! It was almost as big as three-year-old Mason!

Char was a natural

L: Poppy, removing a hook. R: Mason's bare feet. That boy doesn't feel the cold like his pops when there is action afoot (no pun intended).

 Pops, workin' his magic

McCabe enjoys fishing a tad bit more this year, now that he is free of his car seat.

Pops brought a little tent for the boys to play in/stay warm in since it was such a bitterly cold day.

I love this shot because it reminds me of Char's happy little Frenchman guttural laugh. I would bet money on it that he was laughing this way in this picture. I miss our Frenchman.

 Charzo.

Poppy, showing Mason how it's done. Mason is a little weenie about blood and guts, but gutting a fish doesn't bother him one bit. Go figure.

Our happy fisherman!
