Yesterday evening James came home to find us in a mild state of house-a-tosis. Thanks to Char's recent early wake-up calls, we were all a little tired and a little cranky. Next thing we knew, James loaded up our kayak, some fishing rods, and Mason's trusty bigwheel and we headed off to the lake. Not only did the 20 minute drive lull Charlie into dreamland (as it always does. That boy runs on empty everyday but he refuses to nap to save his life). Victory! While Char snoozed, we unloaded the bigwheel and Mason headed down the ramp into the slightly ice cold water.
Splash!!!!!

He claimed it wasn't too cold....

...but his legs were bright red and he was chattering like a squirrel.

So naturally, I needed to see just how cold and refreshing the ride was...
It was cold.

Meanwhile, McCabe patrolled the bank....

Once Charlo woke up he joined us for the fun. Even in Hyrum, Utah, Charlie believes in wearing high fashion.

While we were there we kayaked and explored....
Did some Karate Kid training:
And of course, fished.
By the time we were done, the doldrums were long gone. Thanks again Hyrum and as always, thanks, Pops!
