Jiu Jitsu
Mason, on the night that his gi came in the mail. Boy was he tickled pink! I opened the package moments after he lost a tooth! What a night!
November brought all sorts of new fun activities in the Sieg household. Besides starting speech therapy for Char and McCabe, we also added jiu jitsu and gymnastics to the mix! Now the first half of our week nights are packed, but the boys couldn't be happier!
One of my good friend's had two of her sons in the class and told me great things about it so we signed Mason up. We figured he would like it when she told me that it is Brazilian wrestling/ martial arts and thankfully, we were right! In fact, this little man's sturdy build makes him a natural for this sport. Who knew? And now I have two hours of built-in time with my friend every week while our boys spar, so it is extra great!
His instructor is also a cage fighter and he and other fighters train at the same gym, so while Mason learns cool choke holds, sometimes the other boys get to spend quality time in the cage.
All around, Mason is pleased as punch!
His third tooth!
Mason puts all of the teeth he loses in this lego treasure chest so that it won't get lost while waiting under his pillow.
Charlie has a never-ending love for gymnastics and opted to join a new class in Wamego. This boy LOVES it! Monday nights just can't come around soon enough and just the mention of his class keeps him in line for the whole week!
Charlie, on his first day of class!
Charlie was in a class last year but they did absolutely nothing so we finally quit. However, even in the few weeks that Char has been going, he has learned all sorts of skills!
Working on his arch. I promise his teacher is attentive.
His only complaint is that sometimes a certain girl in his class chases him around and tells him he is handsome. Life is really hard when you are cute.
Charlie, scuttling away from his brazen admirer. We might have to work on how to respond to compliments....
Now Coobie wants to be a gymnast like his brother
I don't know why these pictures crack me up so much! Moments later he flopped down onto the ground so hard and did absolutely nothing to help himself. Char might have to give him a few pointers.
