At the end of May last year, Jamesy-cakes got to fly to the east coast to explore Plum Island! Each year one person is picked from most of the vet schools in the nation to and James was the lucky fella from K-State. Kind of a big deal! Plum Island is off the coast of New York and Connecticut and is where they conduct foreign animal disease eradication efforts and vaccine development.
During his time there, he got to explore D.C. and Connecticut, make some great friends, and even dine of lobster. We were all a little jealous but mostly just proud!
