Our 4th of July

Our little men before church on Sunday. They sure are cuties!
Our 4th of July was a wonderful one. All weekend we celebrated and played, however, on the actual holiday we mostly just enjoyed having Poppy home and kept things low-key while our little men caught up on sleep. It was wonderful!

Firework cupcakes!
Char only likes the frosting
McCabe looking dapper. I like the picture on the left because his arm makes him actually look plump. Sigh.... I can't wait till he stops spitting up the majority of his calories so that he can round out.

Our men on the hike
In the evening, headed to the hills in Green Canyon and enjoyed a little family hike. Once we got going, we realized that the whole trail was swarming with mosquitoes! After swatting couple off of James' back, I explained to Mason that if you see a mosquito land, slap it off. A couple minutes down the trail, he spotted one on McCabe's forehead and yelled, "MOSQUITO!!!!!" and before we could react in anyway, he ran full speed  to the aid of his youngest brother and smacked him full in the face. While we were all recovering from shock (including McCabe) Mason proudly said, "I Got 'em!" Yikes.... McCabe is a tough cookie because Mason is all muscle and it must have hurt like crazy! Shortly after, we decided to cut our hike short and race back to our truck for safety.

I love that picture of McCabe - he looks so saucy! In fact, I'm pretty sure I've seen you give that same look before, and I'm pretty sure it usually came in connection with your huntress ways. ...I think you may have a lady-killer in the making on your hands!

Also, the story about Mason and the mosquito made me laugh so hard that I read it aloud to my sisters. Judging by their hearty laughter I'd say they thought it was hilarious too!
