Earlier this Summer, our little Sieg family decided to explore a little turn off of the road that led to Wildcat Park. It isn't a long stroll into the wooded grove, but it is far enough that you feel completely transported from the world! Obviously, we knew that we were not the first people to discover this haven, but all the same, we felt like it was our little secret getaway. We liked it so much that we went back a short time later on an early Saturday morning around 7am, only to find a group of tents set up in the clearing at the end of the trail. After strolling a little further in, we realized that the tents belonged to the older boy scouts in our ward who had come for an overnight camp out....and we were crashing it. So I guess there is no secret; it is a great place!
Charlie
Bugs galore!
On the way in
L: Coobie with a bug. R: Char with a log
Charlie thought that it looked like a map with all the termite tracks and wanted to hoist it along with us for the remainder of the hike so that we could find our way.
Char and Huckleberry, enjoying a game of fetch
Like father, like son.

I love this last picture. It needs to be enlarged and hung on your wall. So precious!
