Our BABY turned FOUR in December and I still can't believe it! And as our yellow-personality son, McCabe was tickled pink to be celebrated!!!! His day was started in a very fun way when his teacher at church, Lindi Height, brought him the most amazing balloon sword and treat! With a start like that. how could the day go wrong?!!!
Most of the day was spent horsing around at home:
Coobie and Char came with me on errands to pick out the perfect centerpiece for his cake (he wanted a chipmunk but settled on a beaver. Everywhere he went, he was sure to tell whoever he met that it was his birthday! As a result, extra fawning ensued and Coobie felt all the more celebrated!
And hearing from loved-ones:
Then in the afternoon, we continued his birthday tradition by going to the theaters to watch the newest Madagascar penguin movie. (Picture to be posted soon.)
Then we ran home and had pizza and cake:
McCabe's favorite color is yellow so a yellow cake was a must!
Then we opened presents:
McCabe had his heart set on this yellow transformer ever since he saw his friend get one at a birthday party in September. He kept talking about a yellow motorcycle robot and I was clueless! I started to get a little nervous when it was clear that it was the ONLY thing that he actually wanted for his birthday. Thankfully, my friend Chrissy and her son Grayson saved the day by letting me know that it was the Transformer Bumblebee, and I was able to find it on Amazon right int he nick of time! Fewf!
We finished his birthday off in true Sieg fashion with a pinata!
McCabe was very specific in what he wanted for his Pinata this year. He told me he wanted a chipmunk with a santa hat, a scarf, and holding a nut. You got it, big guy!
But since (as always) it is too dark and cold outside on December 17th to hit it outside, we beat up the poor thing with our fists on the living room floor. (A great way to get out winter wiggles.)
What a day! We love McCabe! But why does he insists on growing up?
