The Pumpkin Patch

James and the boys searching for the dream pumpkin
Last Monday we Siegs decided to spend family night in search for our Halloween pumpkins. We wanted to find a place that we could pick our own pumpkins and had a hay ride for our Fall-time enjoyment. Since we live in farm-ville, we figured this wouldn't be very hard to find. We were very very wrong. Pumpkins were being sold on nearly every corner, but they were already picked. And the one place we found in a field had been so picked over, it was pathetic. And that dismal place stopped doing their hayride the week before. Boo. We eventually drove out to a tiny town called Paradise and found a place to pick pumpkins that was owned by a very nice farmer. Even though no hayride was in the cards, we still had a ball.

Mason took his search very seriously. Before he found his own, he was on a mission to find one for his younger brother. Most of his top picks looked like this little diddy. How thoughtful.
Mason had very different ideas for what his own pumpkin should look like.

I wanted more pictures of Char, but he was too busy eating dirt. This was one of the few.
We eventually each found a pumpkin and headed home. Now we can't wait to carve them!

Don't you love the stylish bike in the background?
Besides the fact that my dumb pregnancy pants were falling down the ENTIRE time, I would say the night was a success.

That looks like too much fun, and with such fun people. We wish we could be there for the carving. Love, Mom & Dad
