The cooking of the feast was a family affair. The boys were especially excited to help James prepare the turkey
At this point, Coobie snuck a frozen piece of turkey juice and popped it in his mouth. It was discusting! Thankfully, with a good mouth-washing he has been able to live to tell the tail.
Eating turkey gizzards before the big dinner started
Our friends the Wallers went out of town for the holiday and let us keep Clyde for company. The boys called him "Little Huck."
But in case you are concerned that we weren't celebrating with enough class, just know that there were place settings:
And decor to set the mood:
Dinner was delish!
Since all of the menfolk fight over turkey legs, we bought extra drumstick so everyone could have one.
After dinner, we made our little turkey hands and listed our favorite blessings like we always do.
Charlie's top five were: Candy on children's dates, the book tube (when he can), "Flackie" (Blackie) and Jr. (his pet rats), washing rocks in sinks, and his birthday and birthday planning.
Mason's turkey. Grateful for Ratty, building forts, "B", Bugs, "Esploring", arts and crafts, fishing
Coobie's: Sleeping in Mom and Dad's room, Chocolate milk ("Chock Milk"), baby lions, zebra pants, Monster trucks.
After feasting, we snuggled down and and watched our first Christmas movie of the season. What a great day!
